Do you take insurance?

Journey and Light Counseling is not in-network with insurance companies. Some plans offer out-of-network benefits, allowing partial reimbursement. Upon request, I can provide a Super Bill for you to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network benefits if they apply.

Good Faith Estimate:

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost if you do not have insurance or are not using insurance for your services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

What is Play Therapy?

Play Therapy is based upon the fact that play is the child’s natural medium of self expression…It is an opportunity which is given to the child to “play out” his feelings and problems just as in certain types of adult therapy an individual “talks out” his difficulties. — Virginia Axline
